Our own run of the open HUXt solar-wind model (Owens et al. 2020, University of Reading) driven by NASA DONKI CME cone fits — MODELED — solar wind speed, not imagery. Cone CMEs carry no magnetic field, so arrival severity stays unknown until the wind reaches L1. Cross-check: NOAA's WSA‑Enlil.

Coronagraph Watch — CMEs leaving the Sun
—Eruptions in the corona, watched by NOAA's operational CCOR‑1 (on GOES‑19) and SOHO/LASCO — with automatic CME detections from SIDC's CACTus pipeline. A wide, fast CME aimed at Earth typically arrives in 1–4 days; the propagation-model panel below turns these into arrival estimates.
Dark filaments in H‑α are suspended prominence material — when one erupts, it can leave as a CME without any flare. A filament that vanishes between days is worth watching in the coronagraphs.
